Majority of spring time I spend swinging for bass. Picked up a 3wt Claymore early last year..... good little trout spey. Here are a few recently off my vise. Not going to lie, feels odd not posting steelhead flies on here.

First of all - that fly is dope. Second of all, I'd never thought about swinging for bass before. It obviously makes sense in my mind, but putting it into practice sounds wild. I need to try this out this summer.

Thanks! I will also skate for them but majority of the time I am chucking something like these. Bass are fun to fish for and also make a delicious taco 😁

Small mouth are eager to take a swinging fly of any sort. Large mouth can be more particular. They are usually located in specific water types. In general, large mouth prefer weeds and structure in slow/still water while a good current is home to small mouth but also can be found in still water. I prefer them in the current.

I fish for Smallmouth in local rivers. There is some still water around me that hold Largemouth.
