Montague City Rod Company, Mass.
Age could be from 1928 (I think that was first production of Rapidan) to 1955. The Rapidan was Montague's multi-build rod, considered a lower ended high-end rod, or a higher ended low-end rod, built in many many configurations. Your trout sized rod would be more valuable/desirable. There are ways to determine the approximate age (of which I'm only a little familiar with), including the color of thread on the wraps, the real seat material (and configuration I think), etc. Your best bet would be to post a lot of pics on the classic fly rod forum w w w.classicflyrodforum.com. IIRC is a book by Michael Sinclair that describes the Montague rods in great detail.
