2014 was a strange year in terms of Atlantic salmon fishing here on the east coast. The low numbers & strange weather & conditions on the rivers I frequent made my decision to fish close to home for different species easier to swallow.
I live a block away from the river which holds many different species of fish. Something I didn't take much advantage of.
This past year was different. Me & few buddies who love to fish decided to explore our backyard a little more. The goal was to get together after we all put the kids to bed, or before we picked them up from school or daycare, for a few casts & few laughs!
This kind of fishing really brought me back full circle to what made me fall in love with the sport!
Nothing spey related, but thought I'd share. Thanks for looking.
Here is what we've been up too....

I get maybe a month and a half of swinging for Salmonoids..... then it's off to Pikes, Hybrids, and Minnows (Carp). But that's life in the Midwest. Bahahahaha.
Cheers,
