OK Team here is your first update for the season. Water this morning was running around 90cm on the gauge at Kharlovka Home pool, water temperature 3.1 C, Air Temperature 6C accompanied by rain and heavy fog. We have caught 8 fish over the first 2 days best 36lbs. Fresh fish are in the Lower Litza and Kharlovka although the very cold river will make them slow to move in from the warmer sea. Once the rivers stabilize above 4C then we will see some action. Rynda opens up this Saturday and I will be casting a line along with a few other worthies. Hopefully it will be as good as last year when 5 of us including yours truly and Steve Choate got fish over 30lbs from Rynda in the opening two weeks. Rivers are open and at a good height with a progressive run-off from the snow melt, so fingers crossed for a stellar season:)

Hi Gordon,

Really appreciate the update and brilliant news on a 36lb'er being landed within the first two days. How many people (hardy souls) are fishing this week ? Any other notable fish within the 8 caught ? How long would you think it will take for the water temp to stabilize above 4C ?

See you Saturday - can't wait.

Kind Regards, John

I was just wondering why the kharlovka website has been updated very little recently? The snow levels have not been done since the 10th may and there is no real pre season report, reading news and seeing justins's pictures is normally the best thing on the web! Is it coming back?!

cheers
