One of the Tolfrey patterns from Jones's Guide to Norway. On a 1/0 GS Francis Francis hook, I have a bunch of these but didn't really love the shape. Somehow as time goes on tastes change, and what was repulsive to you before seems appealing now!

Anyway, getting geared up for football and tying tomorrow, should have a few more "Guide to Norway's" done Sunday night.

Great tying here.
This fly has crossed the radar a couple of times.
Will have to give it a go...wish I felt more confidence in deep green as a steelhead color.

I have always liked the Francis Francis hook . I think it's the bend with the hint of Limerick flavor .
