Are triple-D Scandi heads dead?

I recently did an internet search of the usual suspects and to my surprise many of them seem to have discontinued this style of shooting head. Loop, Vision, Airflo, and Scientific Anglers all seem to have discontinued these lines in favor of multi-tip style shooting heads. I know that several reps and field testers browse this message board and was wondering if someone might be able to shed some light as to the cause. Are they collectively waiting to re-introduce these lines when the supply chain backups are alleviated? Or perhaps this is simply the direction that the industry is moving for the sake of manufacturing simplicity?
Me personally, I wouldn't mind having a few options to replace my aging UST lines in the near future. Those were darn near perfect.

Gaelforce still has them and has a new longer series coming soon as well

Rio and Guideline still have them listed on their websites

3D heads were never across many suppliers, but Guideline has been a leader and still is.

Guideline has also added a tip solution.
RIO has added 3D
Nextcast has 3D tips.

Yes, SA appears to be out.
And airflo's focus on spey lines has diminished with the new owners.

And though I have been a happy user of 3D, the OEMS were always limited.
Rio still makes one. Not sure that Vision or Loop ever made a multi-density scandi. They did both make multi-density shooting heads, but I don't think they had a scandi taper and were shorter than 30'. Airflo hasn't ever made one. Not sure about SA, were the UST scandis multi?
Vision had Scandi multi density heads. They were called sliding density if I remember correctly.
I have a couple, Int to sink 3, and Sink 3 to 5 they are 34ft long. So link a compact scandi.

I use the Guideline 3D and 4D systems; they cast like a dream!

Love their compact multis on my short rods.
Airflo is supposedly coming out with some new scandi heads in 24. I believe they had manufacturing issues. I know they will be releasing multi-tip scandi lines, don't know if they will have a 3d or not. Did they ever have a 3d line? (aside from the lines they manufactured for guideline).

Yeah, the skagit FIST is 3D. I love their lines and am excited to try their new scandis.
Regularly using the Gaelforce 3D ETD scandis currently, and awaiting their new longer "Fjord" models.

Have used the Rio Scandi 3D's and original 3D SA UST range lineup in seasons past.

My favorite has always been the original SA textured UST 3D's. Easiest to dig out for another cast, often only requiring a setup switch cast on the heaviest of sink rates: the FHI or FIS2 often come right out with a nice lift alone, or a tiny snake roll for the FHS3

Then they got shorter and went to 2D, with the original 3D's getting very scarce to find. Glad I have backups to a complete set for my needs.

I will always prefer a 3D head over a sink-tip as they just fish and cast so much better imho. I only use something like an EEMT for the really long rods.

They did, it was called Teho. Pretty basic stuff but it worked as a nice starting point to slice & splice. Best part was that because they weren't Guideline, all the UK shops seemed to get them quite easily. I chopped a couple of 37 gram heads and spliced floating sections to them and was quite happy until SA came out with the UST. The UST was nirvana on my little 7133 Winston.
