I probably should not have even thought about this fly as a second go at tying in hand, but I wanted to wrap my head and fingers around a Red Doctor, as I am tying one for the swap.
I cheated a bit, and used a bobbin when I got to the wing. The amount of floss and thread that was shredded from rough hands took it's toll on me!!
I'm not at all thrilled with the results, but it looked good enough to not be too embarrassing to post!:hihi:
I was not as happy with the outcome on this one as I was with my first in-hand tie that I posted the other day. But, as with any tying session we learn a bit more with every wrap.
I've been gravitating towards that sleek, sparse low water style for a while now. The "less is more" approach has been slowly sinking in!!
Thanks again for the kindness and encouragement,
-Bill
