I'm becoming more of a hairwing fan with each one I fish .
I will copy this fly and fish it this winter , looks like a good pattern for those wintering steelhead sitting behind rocks waiting for some food to drift by .

Thank you for the kind words all. Here's the recipe:
Lg oval french tinsel butt
Golden pheasant (red) tail
Then green/chartreuse floss section with gold wire rib
The body is yellow then red seal fur or rabbit with gold flat braid rib
Red schlappen wound forward over the red dubbed section
Wing is polar bear, red on top of white
Collar is pheasant rump
