I just purchased a wulff 8wt 290 grains for a single hand burky 71004 never tried this line before. I couldnt believe the distance this line shoots It felt like a switch rod I highly recommend this line to single hand casters it is so enjoyable to cast. Thanks to hearing about it from this forum a great site.

I've been also using it for throwing big bass poppers and with a heavy butt leader it can cast with some real distance. I do hate the attached running line, though, and am considering chopping that off and going with my regular Big Game mono for running line.

Esa,

Seeking a little context,

What line/rod ratio equals a short head ?

How far is far in casting distance ?

Do you think tip speed has an impact with short heads and distance ?

If u use polytips they add mass. Try underlining by one weight or two. You will be amazed by how much line speed you can achieve with a lighter line. Great line.

Yup, a really nice line. I've used the integrated lines on single hand and switch rods from the 4wt thru 11wt. I do very little mending (overrated IMO) and wish the integrated runner were a smaller diameter for greater shooting distance. The color change could have more contrast for low light situations but overall one of the best light skagit like lines available.
