Does anyone know anything about swinging flies in and around Newport, Or?

Any information on access points and safe drifts would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

My mother-in-law lives in Newport, so it's nice to have a couple get-away rivers when I visit. They are both pretty accessible by foot. The Siletz has good swing water above and below Moonshine Park. Here's a helpful map -

The Alsea has plenty of road pulloffs on Hwy 34. Not sure if there's a good map out there, but access is pretty good.

I've never drifted either, but made full days out of running and gunning. I understand drifts on both are pretty easy.

Both winter runs should be peaking right now.

Be sure to stop at Gracie's Sea Hag in Depoe Bay for the best bowl of chowder you'll every have. Also, the Sandbar in Newport (Nye Beach) is a great beachy dive bar. And there's always two different Rogue brewery locations (I prefer the one on the bayfront). Local Ocean has great food, too.
