These are brand new, unused, never even lined with their individual Abel pouches. The reel is the current, ported, double pawl version, with its box, and its blank warranty card. Reel is set up for left hand retrieve, but is easily converted without having to be sent to the factory. Both spools have the LARGE ARBOR and can be used interchangeably on the frame -- Abel calls it "flexABELity". The Super 11 spool is platinum and the reel and Super 9 spool are black.

Why did I buy them? Why do we buy anything when it comes to fly fishing -- because I convinced myself I "needed" them -- spey set ups, tarpon, permit -- you know the drill. The ugly truth, however, is that I have more spey equipment than I will need in this lifetime, and at 70 years old, I most likely am not going to start chasing exotic fish in the tropics. So, I really do not need them, and they should go.

The reel retails for $825, and the Super 11 Large Arbor spool retails for $380 ($1215 total). I would prefer to sell them as a set. Make me an offer I cannot refuse and they are yours, shipping to the lower 48 included.
