Just thought I'd share something that I recently finished. I enjoy making things, and I've recently taken up working with waxed canvas. The bag below has a hidden flask pocket, shearling strap pad, copper rivets, and brass hardware. I'm a big fan of the new technical gear, but there's something to be said for a classic approach now and then.

absolutely gorgeous

I love everything about your new fish bag. Might I suggest that you try making a sling pack using similar materials. I like slings even more than shoulder bags.

I've been thinking about a classically styled sling. I'd want to do it without zippers, but it requires more thought. A heavy brass YKK zipper might look alright, but we shall see.
