hello all:

i've done a search looking for some SA lines that would/could compliment this stick, but came up fruitless. reason i'm asking is i have an easier time getting SA lines over Rio locally (wait time)

has any one tried SA lines ie: short/mid spey or XLT, and what are their thoughts?

i only need a range of 75' tops and the odd venture into a immd. sink tip, so i was thinking the short spey.

guess i should mention the rod is the newer IIIe version

xlt 6/7 can be fun on the rod. I don't think the rod would like it much with a sinktip. Maybe one on the lighter polyleaders...

The old SA Mastery Spey in 7/8 was a decent match with the greenie 7136. It was a wee bit much for my taste when cutback for tips but was serviceable and after all, that rod would not be my choice for most tip work anyways.

i'll give the SA 6/7 short head a go as per peter-s-c's reccomendation, and if i need to sink a bit i'll try a Airflow poly leader or the like.
