I think we need flyfishing ambassadors like April Vokey. Otherwise flyfishing will end up as an old man's hobby

Near as I can tell, she's proven herself as not only an ambassador, but also an excellent instructor and flyfisher - way beyond the self-promotion stage. She works her butt off - I get tired just seeing her schedule - and has been in the forefront on several important wild fish and environmental issues in BC. Coming from a very modest upbringing (no silver spoon), she's carved a place for herself in the industry she chose - three cheers for her. Anybody who dismisses her as just another self-promoting pretty face isn't paying attention.

i watched her give a demo on tying tube flies. that gal can tye for sure.

good to see young people in the sport - April, Dave Skok, Jonny King, David Nelson, Amanda switzer, etc etc

their sex doesn't matter, the important thing is that there's a new generation to carry the torch and shake things up a little too.

I have it but on PVR don't care about her but have nothing bad to say about her either just like the scenery and the high priced camera work.
