Very nice! I disagree with those who think it would be better tied on a shorter shank hook. In my opinion, Traherne's flies were made to be tied on long shank hooks; otherwise, they get too "busy".

Proportionally a larger gape hook would have been nicer to match the length as well. Agree with busy if it was shorter after staring at it for a while.

nice fly. some taper in body would be nice
I agree that additional taper wold be nicer, there is a little, but not to the likes of alot of the examples out there, and Ive also seen examples with none or very little...
