rather than clogging up that thread more I thought I'd start a new one with some of the results of the swap (great idea Tim, i've never tied this pattern before and im having fun with it!)


This is on an AJ 1.5 with the eye straightened out

This one here is a bit special to me, It is on an iron made by a new friend (I really value the friendships this hobby has brought forth) and I tied the entire fly in hand (hence the terrible head)... I figured since Dingle was hosting the swap I should at least try one the old way.

Any comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated, I hope you all enjoy and I can learn something from sharing

DD. I did Palmer from the back (tied in by tip) but I like your idea of going backwards, as you can see one of them doesn't have a hackle because it broke and I didn't want to deal with all that seal again! Thanks for the kind words.

Yes my friend, we will be doing both! Hopefully at the same time!
