Apparently there is a reel maker here in Vancouver who has made reel feet to fit Perfects. I will track him down ASAP. Otherwise my master tool and die maker buddy said he would machine me a nice one to fit.

Our friend on the Island can put you in touch with a guy who can make you a reel foot. As well, if you decide to go with building a butt section, with a reel seat to fit the original foot, let me know. I'll send you the name of the guy who made my (extra long) reel seat. It's kind of nice to keep it looking as original as possible.

Thanks guys - I am indeed a lucky man :smokin:

Rick, the reel already has a machined brass reel foot, I guess somewhere in its past an owner replaced the original. The problem is the new one is the same size as the original! I guess the new foot was also made a long time ago...

A friend tells me that a local reel maker has a stock of reel feet specifically for old Perfects. If this is so I will be very happy.

The foot is pretty shiny but other than that, I would not be surprised if it was original.
