I was in the area this past weekend. It was in the mid 90's and is forecast similar if not warmer for the next week. Didn't feel like fall to me yet, but early morning sessions on the river were nice and cool. I even broke out a sweatshirt.

Not unusual for us to have upwards of a 40 degree temperature change from day light to mid-afternoon this time of the year.

Cool nights are the norm right now. Beginning next Wednesday daytime highs are supposed to start dropping. Fall is coming!

Unfortunately I am working during the event. I really wanted to stop in and get some more flies from the tyer that was there last year. Those flies have caught a bunch of fish!

Where I live just outside Salmon, Idaho we have been at or below freezing for most of the past 7 days. When I woke up this AM it was about 28 degrees according to my outside thermometer. The Fall colors are starting to come on as well.

In Western Wyoming it has been chilly. Very hard freeze this morning. Yesterday, we had a high of 50 and it snowed on the east side of the continental divide. The fall colors are here and it is my favorite time of the year to be in the mountains on a bike. Less than a month to the first steelhead trip of the season. Can't wait
