I have a custom built, by myself Sage One 710-4. the rod has been fished once. it is in great shape, no scratches. I built it with a slightly longer fighting butt so I could two hand it as needed. Rod is powerful and light. Sage nailed it with its new technology. hate to sell, but need the money $425 obo call Marcus (503)-983-0466
I take papal, money order, or check (will ship one check clears). willing to ship overseas provided buyer picks up shipping.

Is this a "single hand" 7wt or a "switch rod" 7wt? Just would like to know if it is suitable for 250-300 gr lines or if it needs 400+ gr lines.
Thanks,
Ted

It is a single hand rod. Uses lines in the 225gr to 275. It could handle 300. I have thrown a few scandi short heads of it with mono running line. One checked in at 250gr the other an airflo that was 275gr both worked great. When i fished it i use the 7wt rio salmon/steelhead taper. It worked good with various tips. I would have liked to try the 8wt off it to compare but have not had a chance.
