Hope everyone's been safe during these times.
Had a fairly simple question which I couldn't answer using the internet, so I figured I'd turn to here. What Skagit grainage do you guys think would be good for the Hardy Demon 9/10 13'9? I'm going to be using this rod for a Chinook salmon...
Does anyone know if there's a manufacturer that makes sink tips (not T-tips) heavier than 14 grains per foot?
I'm using 10' 140 grain sink tips from opst in different sink rates, but I need some more punch for some of the heavier and wind resistant flies I tied. T18 has a very fast sink rate...
looking for some advice about Skagit lines with multiple densities (Skagit Max Game Changer, OPST Commando Groves, Airflo FIST) is there any benefit using these lines compared to a standard floating Skagit line?
So, I've been looking through my old lines. I've fished them all for many years (12-15 in fact). As far as I can tell they seem fine. Is there an age limit on these lines or a generally accepted time I should consider replacing them? Thanks.

Hi to all!
I received as a gift a TFO Deer Creek Switch 11' #6 rod and I am looking for the ideal line weight in the world of skagit and scandi. On the rod there is only a recommended weight of 300-500 grains.
Hope someone can help me!
I joined SpeyPages a couple of years ago but I was mostly just lurking and reviewing all of the incredible information available in this forum. I've been a flyfisherman since I was 14 or 15 years old. Fell in love with the idea from reading issues of Flyfisherman Magazine in the...
Hi all, I recently purchased a Rio game changer F/H/I/S3 skagit head. I have been fishing with the skagit max for about 4 years, and never fished a multi-density head until now. I have found it digs quickly into fast runs and certainly slows down the fly, as advertised. I found it hard to...

Hello, I am on the market for a fly line to pair with this rod. From my understanding Rio Skagit Max 500-550 Grain is the recommender window, but I am open to new suggestions. I like the build quality of Airflo as I feel their lines are better built and the Airflo Skagit Compact interests me for...

I am looking for switch rod in 12' length class 5/6, line weight 300gr (Skagit) in medium/fast or fast. Actually I have a similar rod from theanglersroost, but it is too slow. The blank is made of IM6 carbon, I am looking for something faster.
I searched the market a bit, but 12' rod...
