Has any one tried Rio Unispey heads on this rod. 7/8 or 8/9 and one preferred over the other or different line or head altogether. How about a scandi head?

very smooth!

I have had a LW8-12 for 5 years or so and am very pleased with it. Very smooth drag and sealed for freezing temps too. Very pretty to look at also.

casting lesson

If you can, get a casting lesson. After you rod is matched up with correct line see if there is someone in your area to give you a casting lesson.
