I’m not sure they are supposed to create sound - I think they r meant to create turbulence behind the cone to move the materials of the fly....bigger cone = longer turbulence wave.

This is an all black wing of Arctic runner, polar bear and fox with some silver hilites in the body and an orange flurofiber tail that is a bit hard to see.
