Those are super awesome and creative. Have you had much luck before with yellow for steelhead? That is a colour I haven’t tried much before, except as an accent on smaller wet flies.

I’d have a serious look at the Meiser conversion rods, and maybe call him. They have all sorts of rods that would work, and their prices are a pretty good considering the quality of the builds.
