Good evening all,
Have never fished the Kalama before but with its close proximity to Portland (I have family that lives there) It would be pretty easy to access for a weekend here or there next summer. Does it have a good amount of swingable water? Thanks,Chris

To add to that, Kalama River road runs parallel to the Kalama River. After driving on the road for some where in the ball park of 6 – 8 miles, you will come to the canyon section. Access to this portion of the river can at times require a steep climb from the road to the river. Be careful! Otherwise, private property can be an issue from time to time. However, you should have no trouble finding a couple of road side stops with decent water to swing a fly in.
