Variegated Sun Fly on a Double

I really don't remember why I tied this (I think it was because I was challenged by another fly I tied on a double hook that turned out alright). It is from Kelson's book as the "Variegated Sun Fly" (it is to specs ""6 toppings"). I wanna thank George for the fine silk gut.

It is not a fishing fly, unfortunately, but just a practice in stupidity.

That is just stellar tying :smokin::smokin:
I want to tie one for my salmon trip coming up and fish it !!
I have had success with a Dee Sun Fly at home with steelhead ... I think there is going to be a "Sun Fly Day" this trip :D:D

Thanks for the post Adrian :):)

Fine work Adrian.... a little pinch at a time.

Im sure it would be a fine fishing-fly somewhere.

Mike, I hope to see a topping wing pattern in the mouth of your salar!

Wouldn't that be awesome !! :D:D
I have a couple runs in mind and hope the weather cooperates too.
I will look for a stout iron, or at least one fashioned from heavy wire ... no doubles allowed during the fall runs.
