Thank you for the article that you posted. It gives me what I was looking for, including some additional helpful links. I didn’t get an e-mail that I know of. My e-mail address is [email protected]

I’ve book marked your article and will try your approach both this spring if they open fishing and this fall when the larger numbers are present. I know the depth of river at the spots that I am fishing from drifting the areas in a boat with a depth finder. I am only estimating the current spread based on your video. I don’t have an accurate currentl spread indicator. I much appreciate your sharing.

    Hello Ard,

I am renting an RV out of Anchorage Aug 13 to 20. I have my 2 sons with me age 14 and 18. We do a lot of fishing together. Staying at the campground on the Russian River for first 2 nights. Fished there once back in 1995. Looking for any suggestions? Hoping to get some good action for my sons. I am bring my spey rod and 3 single handers.

Any advice for rivers or spots to hit would be appreciated?

    Happy New Year, Ard!

You and I spoke at some length several years ago about one of your flies but for the life of me, I can't find any evidence whatsoever for this conversation. You shared a streamer design that I believe you called "Ard's Answer" that mimicked a brown trout fry. It was rather ungainly looking when tied but as soon as it hit water it became as perfect a representation as I've ever seen! I tied up a number of these and proceeded to catch some of the largest trout I've ever pulled from the Cumberland River here in southern Kentucky.

Life took a harsh turn or two and here approximately five years later I'm getting back to enjoying my love of fishing. Most of my flies and the instructions for your "Answer" were lost along the way and I was hoping you'd be willing to share the instructions for tying it with me once again. It was quite easily the most productive fly I've ever swung in the Cumberland.

Thanks in advance, and I hope this finds you doing well.
