I've just joined up with speypages and note your long absence from its pages. I was hoping you were still online so as to start up our conversations of old. I am in the process of working with your friend, our friend, Tim Rawlins of linespeedjedi and it would be cool to get him on board as well. We used to have a lot of fun, you and I, and it would warm my soul to get our banter back online as before. With the Jedi, we could become the class cut-ups with our lighthearted conversations intermixed with sound info and advice. You to be the straight man, and I the comic relief. Or vice versa. And Tim to add his Will Rogers-esque homespun side to our conversations.

It would be good to hear from you again.

Hi there. I’m so sorry for the delay in getting back to you and thanks so much for reaching out to me regarding the 4” BFP I am looking for. YES PLEASE...I’d love his contact info to reach out regarding the reel I am searching for. Is there a way I could call and speak with you directly regarding this reel? Actually...I have come to understand that you are the Spey guru and have great recommendations when it comes to lining up different rods. I actually have some questions regarding a few bamboo Spey rods I have acquired and would love to hear you line recommendations:
Riverwatch 12’ 8/9 3 piece - this is going to be my winter skagit rod
Riverwatch 12’ 7/8 4 piece - this is going to be my light tips rod and Scandinavia skating dries rod
If you happen to have intimate knowledge of those two rods and would feel comfortable making some line recommendations I would love to hear your suggestions.
    Thanks much

    Hi, Poppy.

You keep showing up in threads about DT lines on double-hand rods. Elsewhere, I get a lot of blank stares with these questions, so I'm hoping you can help. Would you string a Cortland Peach DT8F to the Loomis NRX 12' 5/6? Or the DT9F to the Winston BIIX 12'6 6/7? Why or why not? Not many DT salmon lines to be had, but on short, soft rods I think the Peach might work. You're the guru, so what do you think? Thanks for your help.

How you get the line out and fishing is personal preference so as long as it works and is easy no one should care but the caster. MSB
