"Anyway, I am interested in your experiences in setting up your rods with reels and lines and also in the general uses you make of your rods in terms of types of waters fished, methods-- streamers, nymphs, dries? and any limitations you see etc..
If you are so inclined I'll detail the kinds of rods I already have redone and the reels that best balance them and carry the OPST Commando heads I have..
Regards,
DDB

Hi Dennis,
Absolutely! Let me know what rods you've redone, reel and line combinations that you are using.
I have Sage Z-A 7100 and RPL 9.5 7W and 8100. These are stock w/o conversions. Currently casting Airflo Bonefish tapers 7 & 8WF, and the reels are a Sage 4280, 3 3/4 Bougle, St John, or a Salmon No.1.
I see you're located in the Potomac/Shenandoah areas, and probably know all about striper bass & shad fishery during the spring in the Chesapeake and tributaries. I did that for thee seasons...
