I re-read the color of winter this last week. It inspired me to sit down and tie this. I know it isn't technically perfect but I am glad of what came out of my vise. Wrote a little more at my blog http://cabinoneblog.wordpress.com/20...to-syd-glasso/ and what it means to me and how it feeds my soul.

I just tried a gold heron and was thinking on the brown heron. Nice tie, nice hackles. cool that you are so inspired.

perfect fly, perfect story. thanks for sharing.

For me, the glass is neither half-empty nor half-full, but rather twice as big as it needs to be.

The Brown Heron is a very under-rated pattern in my books .... looks like food .
Great job on representing this one , it really has flow .
