If anyone knows where one can purchase the vice in this clip (and what its called) that would be fantastic, best idea iv seen in a long while.

They must find it difficult... those that have taken authority as the truth and not truth as the authority.

Tough to tell for sure but I think its the petitjean vice. Not cheap but a tonne of versatility.

Yet another victim to the two handed addiction ....

Yes, it's the Marc Petitjean Swiss Vice - Master version...

approx $800 excluding shipping

Petitjean is correct.
Had one one, sold it. Found it well built but way too "fiddly" for my tastes.
More stuff to adjust than an old BSA motorcycle.....

Great vice. I have one. Best feature, (and there are many great ones) is the fact that it easily changes from a pedestal vice to a c-clamp vice. Great when tying in a motel room! Expensive, but a close alternative may be the CF reference vice. It retails for $800, but I have seen them listed between $500 and $600 lately. Maybe CF is discontinuing them, and you can get one at close-out. Could not find it listed on the CandF site just now.

I can't understand why some folks think a drink can is harder to carry out when it is empty than it was to carry in when it was full.

If your looking for a highly adjustable vice at a slightly lower price point the dyna king ultimate indexer is a good vice to consider. It is also easy to change from a pedestal base to a c-clamp vice. Great for tying with large irons down to tiny midges.

I love my Swiss vice. I Think thatthe best feature is that it easily converts from a standard vice to a tube vice. IF your interested, I know a seller that you can buy the model with the base for $550, pm me if interested.
