In my opinion, as soon as they get longer than 2X, its a streamer. CJ

So if I tie a Black zulu or a Red tag on a 2X hook, it becomes a streamer?
The flies mention above are pure exemple.
But I do fish with those patterns in bigger size.

I actually meant 3X, anything longer than 2X. I imagine guys will consider flies tyed on longer than a standard shank hook either wet or streamer, but to me, there are what I call wet fly conversions, as in converted to a streamer because of the hook shank length.

There are so many variations of patterns and tying styles, its probably more of a personal opinion as to what you would call them. I might tye a Parmachene belle on a 3X hook, and since its commonly known as a wet fly, some may say its a long Parm belle wet. To me, its a streamer. CJ
