Hello friends
i don0t tie with BM very often, for one it is a bit hard to get around here and on the other side i feel more confident tying with other materials, but to honor the truth i live how these looks.
All of them have their bodies made of wool (well, the terracotta one is a strand from a tapestry fabric hehe) and the hackle is some schlappen i had fun burning. All hooks are #4. The tails are simple ringneck pheasant feathers, nothing fancy on these ones.
Hope you like them and i hope to improve my tying on this style someday.
First one, with some copper-brownish wool
From above
And from bellow (this is how i love a bug to look like)
This one is qith a mix of brown+olive wool + some superfine golden strand, all spun together
I like this angle:
And the last one, the terracotta monster with the strand from some tapestry fabric (don't ask for many details, i'm still running away from my mother)
I was reaching the tip of the feathers here, i don't like much how the tip of the wing fibers tend to separate, but i guess there is nothing i can do when the feather is like that.
I hope they will fish in april
Yes, yes, i will clean that rust off the vise before i post the next fly :chuckle:
Cheers
Rob
