hello friends,
i started tying this fly over a year ago.... that is when my first set of jaws for the vise exploded on my face hehe. It's been stored in a box ever since that day; a couple days ago i was checking the stuff i got in the bench, planning what would i tie now that i can slowly go back to the vice and found it. This morning, still drinking my coffee withsweet cookies, i put myself to work on it so it would like like a complete fly. I had some left overs from a metz cape (gift from a friend) so it still has those bottom (near the butt) soft feathers, i love them for making spey wings, so here it is, it is not 100% black but it's close.
From the other side:
And a more artistic aproach, shooting with natural lighting sometimes gives some great expression oportunities.
Yep, there is a bit of rust on the vise.. i have to send those jaws to my friend's workshop for some blueing
Hope you like it.
Rob
