Been on a featherwing buzz as of late. This is a new world for me. Most of my past was dominated by hairwings. Hope to change that.

There are a few things I can improve on this fly(wing length), I would appreciate any tutelage. Thanks

Thanks for looking.

stunning tie! :D
The lower fibers of your wing may split and roll under to the throat when fished, from your photo, they appear to be tied in below the half-way point of your head.
but i highly doubt the salmon will mind that!!

Yes, I see what you mean. The left side of the wing is tied in correctly. Is it too late to correct? I assume it is. Will it effect it from swimming properly?

Thanks very much for the reply.

it may or may not affect the swim, Hitcher.
If it does split when you fish it, swim it past your feet in the speed of current you are fishing and take a look to see if its tracking to your liking.

if not, use scissors or nail clippers to clip it off. don't pull it out, this can loosen your head; like removing bricks from a wall, the release of pressure can cause it to collapse, loosing your wing to a river that will be happy to take it:)
