Does anyone out there have a recipe for this bugger? It performed impressively this last week. payed $3.00 per and lost the last one I had. Need to make some. thx in advance. Alma
I'd find that fly shop and buy a half dozen more, maybe more. Then tye them up yourself. I use peacock breast feather fibers in place of biots, tail fibers or portions as backs or collars just to add a color change and that so incredibly fishy irredescence of peacock into the pattern. Peacock makes good great.
I have tied a bunch of flies called Depth Charge that was in an issue of FlyFisherman magazine a couple of years back.I just did a Google and it came up.I use the same idea on a few different patterns.Great to get down fast.
These exact nymphs in this colour, and in green, are great takers of Atlantic salmon - swung or fished Czech nymph style - I've caught several fish on them up to 13Kg
if those beads are Tungsten 3mm that will be a size 12 or 10,
