Here's another trouter. My 2nd try at this style of fly. Essentially the same as the GG, without the shoulder (I didn't want to cover the cool wing feather). Also, this tribute to Philadelphia Collins & Sons has red floss, gold tinsel and yellow throat/underwing. Used a 6x streamer hook, not the monster martinek hook I tried on the GG.

Cheers,

Dan

Thanks fellas.

James137a, here's the recipe:

There's a little more going on that it appears, but it is essentially the same as a gray ghost.

hook: 6x long heavy wire streamer hook
tag: med. gold tinsel
body: red silk
rib: med. gold tinsel
belly (tied on bottom of hook): golden pheasant crest (3/4 length of hook) over sparse white bucktail over peacock herl. (When I say over, I mean as you tie it in with the hook flipped over in the vice.) Then tie another golden pheasant crest flat on the top of the hook that extends the entire hook length and droops over both sides.
Throat: yellow schlappin fibers top & bottom
wing: badger died the color of indian crow & JC
head: black with yellow strip

No one watches trailer park boys?

here's another look:
