Anyone know a decent rhea feathers being sold online? i am not trying to dig into anyones special place to buy em, but want something with decent quality, but not $15-30 a strand... I was able to find a lot of sites with some ranging in prices... even a dozen for $5... too good to be true?

not all feathers are born the same. Burnt fibres, terrible dye jobs, dye that lasts one swim, stems that won't strip, broken fibres, etc etc.

For feathers that aren't cheap, buying Rhea sight unseen is a little scary with the huge range of feathers on the market. Hand select your own feathers and you'll be much happier.

I got a batch from Waters West in Port Angeles, WA. I guess the owner dyes them himself. Great feathers, almost every one is 100% useable. Great dyes, no runs, no bleeding. I wish I would have started tying with this stuff a long time ago, it is great material.
