Dave, I agree 100%, the Lady C is my first choice almost always. Such a perfect color combination.
Mike, thanks for noticing the counter ribbing. :chuckle: It's one of those operations that needs to be done slowly for me. I've finally learned to give myself a good 8" of counter-ribbing to hold on to while I'm wrapping it. It's not one of those times you want to be holding a stub.
Gary, I do fish them, but I haven't had overwhelming success yet. Last year I had a small Carron fall off my drying patch at Burntland brook pool. I knew it was on the shore somewhere, but I couldn't find it. The next day I was fishing on the McCluskey's side, and I saw a lad pick a fly up off the ground and study it for about 5 minutes straight. It was like he found an alien! I hope he found (and used!) my carron.
