Finally got a chance to off load some pics from the camera. I've been fiddling with this pattern for almost two weeks now (which is a long time for me to spend on anything with my ADD). I think I finally have it where I want it and am going to fish the hell out of it this weekend. I'm usually not a huge fan of intruders but decided to mess around with them for the second time in as many years. The originals are beautiful. I like Ed Ward's but really fell for Scott Howell's Signature series. So I took Scott's design and tried to marry it with Scandinavian stacked hair wings. Hope I don't offend Scott or any Scandinavians.
The black/purple/chartreuse one was the first one I did. Love that color combo.

A bait fish color combo - boring but usually work when nothing else does

The one I finished last night was a green highlander

Recipe:
A lot of arctic fox
Hope you like

Nice ties Andy,

I like the flexibility of the basic intruder/segregated body style, and the fit with tubes is perfect for my fishing.

I haven't tied with arctic fox yet, but your tubes look great and I especially like the black/purple color combo with a shot of chartreuse, I think I'll try something similar at the vise this afternoon.

Thanks for the pics, great stuff!

Andy:

These all would get time on my tippet. Even though I've never tied or fished a tube...the designs cross-translate so easliy. Although #2 would be my "go to" fly...the other two (with their hot spots) are a necessary inventory

You're putting your ADD to good use my friend
