Tube Hook: Fox ArmaPoint vs. Other

So, I'm on the hunt of a tube hook that I can finally settle on. Yeah there are the standards, Owner, sickle-style, XPoint, etc...I don't want to make it that easy on myself. Plus, heard some bad things about the Sickle style hook, Owner SSW points, and the like, so I thought about re-purposeing the wheel.

I recalled an old thread re: the Arma Point hooks and also tried some other UK Carp hooks (Nash ?), but found the gauge of the wire to be too big for my comfort.

Anyone using something for their tubes that has not already been mentioned? Wide gap, short shank, so sharp it sticks you when you look at it hook...

It is close to straight..very similar to wide gap finesse eye...which is the other hook I like!!..also from Gamma! I like them with a tiny bit of angle. I attach with a nonslip loop knot where the line goes in eye..around the bottom of the hook..and back thru the eye ...in oposite direction as the entry..it cradles the hook!. I pull the knot into junction tubing and fish it point up.Much rather have my hook catch the material on top of mouth than the bottom jaw skin hookups! That wide gap can really surround some meat!

Gami sc15 and egg hooks. Like the shorter shank. Like the smaller hook. Not sure they are any better or worse than others but they make me feel good.

Gammie

I have become a big fan of Gammie hooks. For stinger/tube hooks I have been using the "glo-bug". I also have been using the b10-stinger on my tubes- it's a longer shank than the egg hook but it puts the hook point further back for those fish who just nip at the fly. The up eye on the octopus let's you rig hook point up for less droop. The glo bug is the heaviest thus has the most droop.
Oh yeah, they are wicked sharp out of the box.
