OK so your tying skills do not require comment or questioning they are just magic..

the real question here is are you a professional photographer by chance, and if it is not a trade secret how do you compose such beautiful pictures?

I think I fish, in part, because it’s an anti-social, bohemian business that, when gone about properly, puts you forever outside the mainstream culture without actually landing you in an institution. –John Gierach

Thanks guys. There is no secret to the photography. It’s simply done with an iPhone, the included filters on it, smoke and mirrors.

Just simple and perfect! Did you use a Blue Heron #1 1/2 hook?

Thanks for sharing your work,
Doug

That was not a bad cast. I was just casting to the nearby fish.

Another fishy-sexy fly from your vise
Very nice profile and nice flow.
This is a hunter for sure

Side note - I've never been a fan of patterns that use dark coloured tags. I don't see the purpose of it.
I use the tag as an excuse for adding a bit of POP to the pattern. So going subdued is not comprehensible for me
This is my issue and not intended to take away from this fine bit of tying above.

Mike......Art has forgotten more about Steelhead than I’ll ever know so he gets a pass in my book. But I agree.... the black tag kinda gets lost.

Here’s how Art ties it. Awesome to see.

I've looked at this post about 3 times over the last several days. I liked the video, but I like the profile of your fly even better. If you could only give me one fly to fish from March through October, I think this would be it. I've never had one in my box...shame.

Perhaps fishing is, for me, only an excuse to be near rivers.
