Tiger Ghost Stonefly

Tiger Ghost Stonefly on a 3/0 Daiichi hook for some early Restigouche /Matapedia
Hackle is some nice shiny Coq de Leon Medium Pardo
If there's one fly for these fish ,this is it ,but the wing has to be done right
Thank's for peeking

Ohh, I like anything tiger ghosty

Are you referring to a tenting / splaying of the silver pheasant cheeks over the wing to contribute to movement? I don't see much different in your wing there other than a lifting over most stonefly patterns I see.

Think of it as more of a Tiger Ghost fly than a Stonefly pattern
The Tiger Ghost's wing should ride high or "lift " as you mentioned
Todd Cochrane's original Tiger Ghost Stonefly is more of an adaption of his Ghost Stonefly
I was just bored and had a "few " silver 3/0 Daiichis to tye on

Congrats.....The flank and wing are nicely dressed. The TG is definitely effective on Restigouche Springers. I caní t see the flyís body. Can you provide a photo and advise if you tapered and flattened the shape of the body?

The Tiger Ghost has been very kind to me when fishing on the Gaspe Peninsula...and this variation is super. I'd classify it as a must have.

The body is only tapered at the rear where it's tyed in and no it isn't flattened ,Think of it as more of a Tiger Ghost with a Stonefly style hackle han a Stonefly a la Tiger Ghost
