Very simple fly for me to fish on floating lines. Some guinea, a fox wing, and a spun head on a size #2 stinger style hook

I have to disagree with the "nice trout fly" crowd. In the summer steelhead rivers I fish, that fly would be killer. And those short-shanked bait hooks hold better than any others. Terrific fly, perfect for picking your partner's pocket after he/she swang larger stuff through the run, eliciting an "I'll be danged" response. Been there.

Thanks Brother! Yes, this fly is intended for steelhead and salmon.
