Friday morning Akroyd variation

Woke up early this morning inspired to tie...something. Put the hook in the vise and this came out. Just a quick variation on one of my all time favorite patterns to tie. This one has peacock herl for the forward body rather than black floss, and the wing is obviously white tipped turkey. I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out, we'll see if any fish agree. Hope everyone is doing well and getting on the water when and where it's safe!

Cheers,
Jake

Love the wing set!

Proportion of materials on the hook is also fantastic! That's too pretty to fish!

Thanks gents! I was pretty stoked on the wing set myself, that FeathersMC turkey is no joke.

That is a really well-tied Ackroyd. I like the way that you used the whole hook. A lot of tyers leave a bit too much space near the eye on those Blue Herons and it just looks off balance to my eyes. And of course the tip and tag are perfectly placed on your Dee.
