Dee sheep no- body

This is a small tube that swims really well. Dee sheep no-body. These are meant to be fished with a free swinging hook set up. Thanks for looking and hope that everyone is staying well.

Hi Jim,

Thanks.

In the free swinging hook set up, the hook is not attached to the fly, but it swings freely. A small piece of junction tubing is placed on the hook to keep the knot steering straight, and it helps control exactly where you want placement of the hook on the fly. Very simple actually. The current pushes the fly and hook together. Obviously, you can change the type and size of hook to what you prefer. I hope these pictures also help.

Serge

Thanks Jim, I can't really take credit for the idea though. These tubes are tied on a very small piece of 1.8mm tubing.

I find that these no-bodies fish and sink better than weighted tubes. Less resistance in the water I guess.

Cheers,
Serge
