Name that Classic Pattern round 2

Trying this once more to see if I can accurately portray the materials before tying it on the hook (Mike recognised that the previous contest had an ostrich herl not listed in the dressing which could have caused confusion...that was my bad)

Can you name the classic pattern by the loose materials shown in the image below?

(1st person to post the correct pattern on this thread receives a fly courtesy of Fly Fishing Collaborative)

Cheers and good luck!
Adrian

P.S. Feel free to ask questions in regards to the materials...but if you ask, I will answer openly on this thread thus risking your edge to be the first correct answer

I don't know, but that hook looks unnaturally large.

I like this game!

The (pink??) tuft of material is completely throwing me for a loop.

After some internet research (read sleuthing) I’m going to guess a #2 from Tolfrey’s Jones’s guide to Norway.

I’m likely way off but that’s the fun. 😄

Phone camera didn't pick up the red/crimson color in that tuft

I will check back to this thread in a couple of sleeps.

Cheers!

flytie09, you are the winner!

Of note, I should have used the orange wool two-thirds up the body but for some reason I am not paying close attention to requirements these days

The materials are what are required to tie up a Bumbee. Send me your mailing address via PM and I will mail you a fishing fly as soon as I can.

Cheers!

P.S. Thanks to Tim for the hook
