Fly box foam

Does anyone know where I can buy the typical foam that is found in fly boxes these days? I am thinking of the usual white variety found in the Temple Fork boxes. I am sure there is more than one kind, and I would be grateful for any information that I get! Thank you.

If everybody used shoe horns, they'd catch 'em all on shoe horns.

Most hobby or craft stores will sell thin sheets of white foam suitable for this. Another option is sheet cork which is also available in these stores. If you glue the cork in stacked layers, it would hold flies better than foam. A third option you should consider is using real or artificial fleece. This can be trimmed to fit any fly box, looks elegant, and holds your flies better than foam.

I believe what you're describing is called closed cell foam.
if you're going to make a box the size of a wheatley you can just buy the inserts online.

Cool. Much knowledge as usual!
