Turkey Wing(v) Hardy's

Hey all, hope everyone is well out there, was thumbing through the Hardy's book this morning and came across this fly, so gave it a try. it was in the catalog from 1886-1919, but it reminds me of a few fall steelhead patterns out there, macks canyon for one, albeit a fancy one, so will hopefully take it for a swim this fall, cameron

Cool pattern ... tied to perfection
Nothing like the intensity of finding a new pattern and just having to tie it !!
A good stuff Cameron

I love that, Cameron. Looks to be tied perfectly. From the tail to the hackle and the wing. It fits the hook profile well. The head is finished in the right spot for that iron.

If others could copy the proportions of your fly on the Blue Heron hook, they would do very well for their tying.

I really like this fly Cameron. The body reminds me of the Wooly Bear caterpillars we used to play with when we were kids. This is one that steelhead will have to eat!
