Those look great! That pattern seems to be a lot of people’s most productive.

Very nice!

You make known to me the path of life;
in your presence there is fullness of joy;
at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Those are some very nice looking ties! Great fly for steelhead... anywhere! Fished this fly for first time this fall, and I'm a convert.

The thing I love about it is the fact that they will eat it on a tight line high in the column or drifted broadside 6” off the bottom. I think they really do not like it near them at all. Some of my best days with the biggest, meanest steelhead have been when this fly was tied on. Praying the weather decides to cooperate soon so I can get busy 😫

Wow, I like that lavender one!

In Senyo's book, he describes an AI variation which he ties for sunny days coupled with low & clear water.

Those conditions have been the norm so far this year in my area, so I gave it a try.

Olive lady amherst, a flashabou wing of speckled white, clear and pearl, white schlappen & natural guinea head. I skipped the jungle cock both because I thought the gold bead chain was enough of an "eye" on this pattern tied for hidden-in-plain-sight subtlety and because the Hareline fake stuff I have really didn't look right to me on this particular variation.

I haven't had a chance to get them wet, but I feel pretty good about my chances when I finally do.

Very nice! I can dig it for sure. I tie a similar pattern but with rainbow flashabou as the main color, it has probably caught the most fish for me in lower/clear water. It has the white schlappen head as well. The fusion book is a great one! Check out Modern Steelhead Flies by Nicholas and Rob Russel if you haven’t already... lots of iconic great lakes tyers featured.

Whoa! These look tasty! I'll have to look into tying some of the AIs myself.

“Preserving, protecting, and restoring our waters are tasks for many lifetimes, and sometimes the effort can seem overwhelming. But as long as we stay connected with all of the many, many blessings that water provides, and continue to keep that love in the forefront of our minds and hearts, as long as we remind ourselves to hope, then our stories will help connect others to water and encourage them to do what they can to help care for this beautiful Blue Marble world.”
