My yearly intruder...

I rarely tie these beauties but man, I dig them. Headed to the “big” river on Sunday and I think I need to bring a few along. I have no doubt a NY chromer would destroy that!

I don't know anything about Intruders but this fly is beautiful. Perfectly tied, proportions on point, great blend of colors...this makes me want to take a run at tying them. Great job.

Thanks Shannon, I appreciate that. To be honest, I don’t have much knowledge on true intruders myself but I have made the attempt to tie them a few times. I generally tie single station flies, lots of flash, or traditional hook stuff on the natural-ish side of the color spectrum. Always fun to step outside of my comfort zone, never know what might come out of it!

Could you please post a larger image of your profile picture? It's a fly I'd like to "steal".

Sure, its a Dave Pinzckowsi pattern, the bad hair day. Goby/sculpin variation on a tube.
